Next Steps

The schools are back, so are the pollies and the tennis is done. It’s the first week of February and at last 2016 has truly begun.

If you spent last month completing your first draft, recasting your third or finessing yet another iteration, you might be interested in learning more about next steps.

If you have completed at least a first draft of your manuscript, are keen to get a publisher interested and are in Melbourne, come along to my pitching workshop with Writers Victoria on Saturday 8 March.

Participants will learn a range of ways to interest publishers in their work; how to distinguish a synopsis from a pitch; how a verbal pitch’s content differs from one written; how to craft a concise cover letter; and whom to pitch. I’ll also review elements of your manuscript so you have a better idea how much work might still be needed before your manuscript’s ready to be pitched.

Interested? Great, I hope to see you there.
